3 things you need to know about your Instagram business account?
As a business owner, it is good to know the statistics, right? And luckily, apps like Instagram give them to you, quite easily even. When you have a business account (or creator account) on Instagram, you will have access to valuable information about your customers and their behavior. And Instagram hands this information to you. To access the insights, you will need to have at least 100 followers, and once you do, here is what you should do.
Head to your profile and select Insights (you find it below the Edit Profile button). Insights show you the statistics from the past 7 days. What kind of statistics and information? You find a lot of information from your audience. In this section, you can see how you have reached your audience, how the reaction has been to your content, and what has happened with the following. We are now searching for information concerning the posting, which can help us reach more people in the future.

Tap: Total Followers (here you can find more information on your following such as follows and unfollows, locations and gender, etc.) -> Scroll down at the end of the screen, and you find the Most active Times (from past 7 days). Let’s say you want to post something on Wednesday. Select the correct day, and you will see stats on how your audience is behaving on Wednesday. By tapping the bar, you can see the number of your audience on Instagram during a specific 3 hour period of the day. So, the tallest bar is showing you valuable information on when you could post your next picture and potentially reach the largest number of your followers during that day. Cool, right?
Your audience can easily reach you
You can set an email button to your profile, and that way, your audience can easily reach you. It can also be a phone number if you prefer your customers to call you instead. How to do this?
Select Edit profile -> Public Business Information -> Contact Options. Here you can set your email to be the point of contact. Your email won’t be shown on the profile. After adding your email, you’ll see a button called Email appearing on your profile.
Learn how you are doing in reaching your audience
Know your numbers is something that my mentors have said to me, meaning that I, as an entrepreneur, should know as much from my audience as possible. I suggest the same for you also. What you can do is to head again to the Insights.
Check the following: Overview -> Accounts reached. Here you can see how people are reacting to your content. Are they visiting your profile? By the way, is your feed in the business card kind of order? If not, you might want to see this: The appearance of the Instagram account. You can see if your audience is visiting your website and how your latest posts have reached your audience. From here, you can go a little further by selecting: See all.

Of course, you can browse this section on your own. However, I will let you know what you can find here. First, you can have all your feed selected (Any option) or choose from photos, videos, carousel posts, or shopping posts. When you select Reach, you can see the Reach of each post. You can also see, for example, profile visits, likes, impressions, follows, comments. And lastly, you can select the period, up to the last 2 years.
Depending on where you stand with your business, you indeed can find quite important information here. And remember all this is available for you for free. Pretty cool, right? You can learn so much about your audience by just taking a little time to observe your Instagram insights.
Here, now you know the 3 things you need to know about your Instagram business account.
